A little more about me…

Since I was a kid, I’ve always thrived in structure and routine — organizing everything by color, creating systems where none existed, and finding joy in bringing clarity to chaos. At the same time, I’ve always been drawn to creativity and visual storytelling. That blend of structure and imagination has shaped my entire career: I design learning experiences that are purposeful, intuitive, and deeply human.

I’m a learning experience designer, educator, and strategist with a passion for clarity, creativity, and meaningful impact. With a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and experience across both corporate and K-12 environments, I create learner‑centered programs that strengthen performance, elevate instructional practice, and align with organizational goals.

Before moving into corporate learning, I spent nine years as a Lead Instructor, instructional leader, and curriculum designer. During that time, I:

  • designed standards‑aligned learning experiences for diverse learners

  • coached and supported instructional staff in improving practice

  • facilitated professional development grounded in adult learning principles

  • collaborated with school and district leaders on curriculum and instructional planning

  • applied instructional design models to create engaging, accessible learning materials

  • contributed to department‑wide instructional improvement efforts

  • consistently achieved strong student growth outcomes

These experiences gave me a deep understanding of how people learn, what educators need, and how thoughtful design can transform both teaching and learning.

My background in Education

Much of my work has centered on helping adults grow in their practice and adopt new learning experiences with confidence. My approach is grounded in:

  • building trust and strong working relationships

  • designing learning that is clear, actionable, and relevant

  • offering supportive, strengths‑based feedback

  • facilitating collaborative problem‑solving

  • partnering with leaders on planning, data, and instructional alignment

  • creating learning experiences that build capability, not just compliance

I see coaching and design as deeply connected — both require listening, empathy, and a commitment to helping people succeed.

How I’ve supported educators and teams

I’ve partnered with:

  • educators and instructional teams

  • school and district leaders

  • SMEs and product teams

  • facilitators and trainers

  • cross‑functional corporate partners

I love bringing diverse perspectives together to create learning experiences that are aligned, effective, and meaningful.

How I think about learning, design and improvement

My work is rooted in a few core beliefs:

  • Learning should be purposeful, human‑centered, and accessible.

  • Great design blends structure, creativity, and evidence‑based practice.

  • Improvement is iterative, data‑informed, and collaborative.

  • Clarity is a kindness — and a catalyst for performance.

  • Equity and access matter in every design decision.

  • Systems shape outcomes — and thoughtful systems can transform them.

These beliefs guide how I design learning experiences, how I collaborate with teams, and how I support continuous improvement.

I feel most grounded when I’m with my family and close friends. I’m a former collegiate athlete turned mom of two energetic boys, which means my days often include a mix of soccer balls in the hallway, spontaneous dance parties, and the kind of chaos that keeps me humble and laughing.

My husband and I love living in the Pacific Northwest, finding new coffee shops to explore, and spending slow weekend mornings with the kids at home enjoying pancakes and music.

Movement has always been part of who I am, so you’ll often find me running or squeezing in a quick barre or yoga session. I’m also a big believer in lifelong learning, so I’m usually listening to a podcast or audiobook while completing household chores, driving, or otherwise on-the-go. And when I need something comforting, I’ll happily rewatch episodes of The Office or Parks and Recreation for the millionth time to reset my mood.

These parts of my life shape how I show up professionally: with empathy, adaptability, humor, and a deep appreciation for the people behind the work.
